Tasks
A task list built around one question: what needs doing today. Briefings, a calendar, and the overdue pile on one screen.
What it does
Tasks opens on today. A morning, midday and evening briefing sit in a carousel above today's calendar, with a live line marking now, and everything overdue or due today underneath.
It is also the platform core. Sign-in, the shared data store and the background schedulers that the rest of the apps rely on all started here.
Features
A scrubber for the next two weeks
Drag across fourteen days to see what lands when, grouped into Overdue, Today, Tomorrow and Upcoming, with a week of completed work kept in view.
Two ways to sort
Switch the list to an Eisenhower matrix and place tasks by urgent and important instead of by date.
Focus mode
A full-screen countdown ring with 25, 45 and 60 minute presets. Tap the ring to pause; notifications hold while it runs.
Triage for the overdue pile
One window to re-date, finish or drop every overdue task, plus Ideas, Projects and a global search.
Works offline
Quick captures made without a connection queue up and send when the network comes back. Reminders arrive as web push.
How it was built
A small Node server and a vanilla JavaScript client, installable as a web app. No framework and no build step.
Data lives in plain JSON files per user rather than a database. An MCP server sits on top so an AI assistant can read and write tasks with the same rules as the app.
