Cadence
The planning layer over Tasks. Same data, different view: what matters today, how the week is going, and where the time went.
What it does
Cadence reads and writes the same task store as Tasks, so a change in one shows up in the other. Where Tasks is the list, Cadence is the plan: a daily brief, a short list of the three things that matter, and a sense of momentum across the week.
Features
Today
A written daily brief, a Big Three, a momentum bar with a two-week sparkline and streak, a calendar strip and an overdue rail.
Focus
A full-screen pomodoro with a breathing ring, automatic 25 and 5 minute cycles, and one tap to move to the next task.
Inbox
Swipe through captured ideas to keep, turn into a task or archive. Inbox zero gets confetti.
Ideas into plans
Break an idea into a tree of tasks, then drag to reorder or re-parent. Progress rings roll up the tree.
Calendar and rhythm
Drag a task onto the hour grid to block time, and see heatmaps of when work actually gets done.
How it was built
Its own Node service and a modular vanilla JavaScript client. Whatever Cadence adds to a task is stored so Tasks never trips over it.
The daily brief is written by a language model that runs on hardware at home, not a cloud API.
